01
Before you delete
Deleting Niqdah data can remove planning history, balances, transactions, goals, contributions, debt repayments, settings, notifications, and pending imports. Keep any records you need before continuing.
A deletion request should never include a password, ID token, import route token, raw bank alert, or complete account number.
02
Stop automated imports
- Open Niqdah Settings → Email Import.
- Revoke the private import address.
- Delete or disable the forwarding rule in Gmail, Outlook, or your email provider.
- If using the private build, disable automatic SMS import and revoke SMS permission in Android settings.
03
Delete app data
Use the in-app account/data deletion control when available in your installed build. If the current test build exposes only reset/migration tools, do not assume an Android “Clear storage” action deletes Firebase data; it clears only local application storage.
04
Request account deletion
If the in-app deletion flow is unavailable or fails, use a trusted private support channel associated with the project owner. The request must be verified against the Firebase Auth account before backend data is removed.
The public GitHub issue tracker is not an account-verification channel.
05
Provider and backup retention
Revocation stops future email routing immediately, but already-received provider messages, security logs, and backups may remain until the applicable retention window expires. Deletion cannot always remove data instantly from immutable backups.
06
After deletion
Confirm that you can no longer sign in, the app no longer loads the deleted financial plan, the import address is revoked, and the external forwarding rule is disabled. Contact support if deleted data reappears after synchronization.
